harrisoni (4896), Ashford, Kent, Kent, England May 8, 2008 On tap at White Lion, Tenterden, Kent. Walked into a Marston’s pub and there were 4 handpumps all with clips turned the wrong way round which was disappointing. This wasn’t totally awful, better than some nitro bitters I’ve had, had some mouthfeel, some light fruits and some hop sting on finish. Served way too cold, but actually relatively pleasant if blandish.
M0RHI (985), Luxembourg, Luxembourg Jun 30, 2008 On tap at the Sportsman. Nose was bitter with a slight hop tingle. Mouth was sherberty with ’shook up barrel’ fruit and hop tones. Mouth a bit malty. Nothing to write home about by any stretch. Daredevil (77), Bern, Switzerland May 9, 2008 in the past my way around finding a drink was this: in a hot summer I would take a very cold lager, all other seasons I would go for anything but a lager .... meanwhile the lager brews are facing serious competition not only from IPA’s but also from brews like this: a lightweight topfermented ale with only 3.6 ABV (so you might enjoy a few pints to quench your thirst) ... hughie (2054), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Apr 10, 2008 On tap at Lords Cricket Ground, where Marstons seem to have a semi-monopoly thanks to their cricket sponsorship. Gold with a white head. Some malt in the aroma and a little citrus in the taste, followed by slight bitterness. Smooth, oily and thin. To be fair I should re-rate this on a burning day in July. Today the weather was chilly and overcast, not the best day for a summery golden. scotty (722), Scotland Jan 27, 2008 51p at my local Tesco, I really should stop buying these "draught" beers in cans, I’ve not tried one that I like, and after trying this one that’s not changed. Thin and tasteless. That about sums it up, dont say I didn’t tell you.
