Commercial Description:
I made this one easy to ask for. Its an american style pale ale. Brewed with all the hop lovers in mind. Simple malt profile overall, of pale malt, cryastal andcarapils, with some oats for texture. This beer is all about the hops. Warrior and Simcoe, two of the pacific northwest’s newer but popular hops, are used. Warrior brings in a good formidable bitterness. The simcoe adds a unique aroma and flavor that is unmatched in the hops world. Its a delicious combination. After such success with this recipe I was then at a creative loss for an appropriate name. So I went the simple route opting for the question our bartenders often ask patrons. ’Would you like another ale?’ I know I would, here’s hoping you would too! OG: 1.055 FG: 1.013 ABV: 5.6% IBU: 36

The first beer I tried at this establishment, it was outstanding! Pours a copper color with a great hoppy, spicy aroma. The bartender explained this as a Pale Ale but there were plenty of hops in there to make it an IPA. So the flavor was nice and hoppy, slightly sweet with a nice hoppy bitter bite to finish. Very good with great balance to it. I hope they don’t switch it out because I look forward to having it again. She said it was one of their more popular choices so I think I’ve got a good chance.

I liked this one a lot. pours golden, no head to speak of, but it was a pub pour. nice grapefrutiy aroma with a great mild bitterness. Best one I’ve had there so far. Girlfriend didn’t like it though, said it smelled like cat piss. tried to explain simcoe hops to her, but I didn’t get very far...

on tap-pours a light tan head with cloudy gold color. Aroma is dry hops. Taste is bitter hops, dry. Kind of one dimensional and middle of the road.

Cask. Golden color with a small white head. Sweet light dry body with a thin palate. Rather boring.

[Cask at GBBF 2005] A hazy orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with a slight hoppy note. The flavor is sweet with a dusty hoppy note - my guess is Goldings. Somewhat boring.

Cask @ World’s Biggest Pub! Warm straw aroma. Slight rough & interesting edge to an average orangey bitter.

Cask (gravity dispense), GBBF, August 2005. Appropriate name because this is indeed just another ale. I guess we see so few US craft brews over here that we expect something muscular and dynamic when we do. This reminded me more of a standard British bitter than an APA. Reasonable malt and hop balance but there’s nothing bursting forth. Some herbal notes. Dry and a bit dull. Short finish. Very average.
