Commercial Description: Baggins Best- This is an English best bitter. It is fairly straightforward, something I am not often accused of when I make a beer recipe. But sometimes simple can be delicious. It is a lovely session beer that blends malt and hop flavors well. Maris Otter pale malt combines with some crystal malt and cara-pils malt to make up the grain bill. Northern Brewer hops are used for bittering. Imported East Kent Goldings are used for the finishing and aroma hops. When cask conditioned, Kent is also used in the cask for added aroma. 'Baggins' comes from the Lord of the Rings trilogy which I read many times before it ever became a trio of films unbelievably excellent films. A lot of my beer names are inspired by the story. This beer is named For Bilbo and Frodo Baggins. OG: 1.046 FG: 1.012 ABV: 4.6% IBU: 30
