Commercial Description:
This is a Belgian wheat beer. Ours is made with crushed Coriander seed, orange peel and a special yeast strain. It is crisp and refreshing with a citrus aroma and tart finish. Creamy on the palate, it is a hazy brew due to the special yeast, which enhances the overall taste experience. Available in May and June.

Part of an 8 beer sampler at the restaurant. Enjoyed the restaurant and all the beers I tasted were good though nothing really stood out. Their white beer was actually pretty good for what it is though I’m not really that into the style.

A very good belgian white from a neat place. This has got to be my favorite summer style. Quite refreshing. Good work.

Sampled onn draught at the brewpub 5/20/2005 with The Motor City Beerman, ClarkVV. Pale opaque yellow with a light greenish tinge at the bottom of the 5 oz sampler, little head and lacing....huge sweet lemon meringue pie aroma, orange & cherry also present in the moderately yeasty mix...oh, alas, the flavor doesn’t keep up, very dry and one-dimensionally lemony with just a hint of iron at the finish...somewhat reminiscent of unsweetened lemonade. Drinkable, but the nose promised much that the body couldn’t deliver.

On draught at the brewpub on 5/20/2005 with Muzzlehatch. Low to moderately hazy pale-gold color, with almost a green tinge to it. Small white head quickly recedes to cover, with some lacing. Aroma is Belgian yeast, lots of lemon, light notes of bubble gum and cotton candy. Fluffy, lightly dry, with some coriander and quite a high strength (especially as it was served outdoors out of a small convex sampler glass). Flavor is mostly Belgian yeast esters of bubble gum and light clove with a bit of banana and some coriander/lemon acidity on the finish. Body is very light, thinning heavily on the finish, with a moderate amount of wateriness.

Pours a nice looking hazy golden peachy color, medium white head which leaves some decent lacing. Aroma is sour, hints of citrus with orange and lemon. Flavor is crisp, sour, lemony and orange. Body is medium. A fairly decent representation of the style, but not much above what I would call average.
