Unclear hazy medium amber orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, grass, orange. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090804]

Aug 11, 2009 Cask@GBBF2009. Hazy orange colour, small head. Aroma is malts, yeast, wood, diacetyl and earth. Flavour is fruits, wood, toffee as well as mild notes of vanilla and yeast.

Aug 8, 2009 Cask (gravity) at GBBF 2009, Day 1 @ 5.1%. Don’t know whether they have dropped the ABV or the programme notes were wrong. Very murky appearance that suggested the condition wasn’t that great. However, both aroma and flavour had a very appealing prominent aromatic, leafy hop presence, with some grapefruit notes tending towards US IPA character. So I was rather surprised to see the programme notes announcing Fuggles and EKG as the hops. I imagine this would a good drinking pint on home turf.
