mcox90 (403), Wilton, USA Aug 16, 2008 On tap at Marthas, served in a pint glass. Beer is a murky, cloudy brown color with a 1/2" off white head. Sturdy lacing rings the glass. Nose is sort of sweet with caramel notes as well as malts and floral hops. Taste is the same characteristics as nose with a hoppy finish. Could have used a little more body.

Topped by a thin ring of off-white bubbles. Malt-fruity profile. Dark fruity flavoured with roasted notes. Rounded bitterness to the finish (third pint, gravicask at GBBF, 06.08.2008). MesandSim (4723), Highgate, Greater London, England Aug 24, 2008 A Mes rate: gravicask at GBBF.
Amber with a slight haze. Dull earthy malt with faint notes of toffee and hazelnut and some slight grassy hops in the finish. Rather thin in the mouth. Inoffensive, just rather boring. Svesse (1920), Hässelby, Sweden Aug 23, 2008 (Cask at GBBF, London, 6 Aug 2008) Dark brown colour with brief, beige head. Malty nose with notes of chocolate, toffee and cola. Malty, nutty taste with chocolate and dried fruit. Slightly roasted with a nutty malt sweetnees throughout. Decent but hardly exciting.
