Crash (431), Macomb, Illinois, USA Feb 1, 2005 Red color with off-white head and a little lacing. A sweet malty taste with hints of caramel.
Jblauvs (181), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA May 21, 2008 Updated: May 27, 2008i had no idea what to expect from this, comming from an almost unknown brewery. I bought a growler and reallly enjoyed it. redish amber hue, malty nose. very malty mouthfeel, not watery at all. Pretty intense bock. I like it a lot, congrats to marthas mbrandon2w (109), Worcester, Massachusetts, USA May 3, 2007 Pours a beautiful, deep red. sweet, malty aroma, alcohol very present, but not so much that it’s overdone. Very nice and well done. reminded me a bit of the sam adams double bock. BitchesBrew (702), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Mar 31, 2007 Slightly fruity, sweet malt aroma. Dark, brownish amber in color, with a nice white head. More sweet malt flavors, with some frutiness and a solid alcohol presence. Full bodied, slick mouthfeel. Very nice, overall. Hugerat (421), somerville, Massachusetts, USA Nov 8, 2005 I’m rather surprised the ratings for this beer are this high. Certainly not bad, but nothing to rave about. Sweet, as a Doppelbock should be with flavors of hard candy and bubble gum. Enjoyable. paul9639 (116), New Hampshire, USA Apr 11, 2005 Fantastic beer. Had on tap from brew pub. It was served with a thin light brown head. The color was a deep, dark amber. The aroma sweet chocalate/carmel that gives way to sweet cherries. The flavor is smooth, dry and malty.
