Bottle brown, 500 ml, extract of wort 12%
Appearance: Body is light golden in colour, carbonation is weak, all immediately goes off to create head. Head is white, irregular, systematically decreasing, wattery, foamy, no lacing. Body is light to medium, very clear, transpatent body with a beautiful colour.
Aroma: Chalky, a little bit bredy, no hops in aroam, a little bit sweety, milky. Nice, floral malty base as for Bohemian Pilsener. Better in malts than Corgon but worse in hops.
Flavour: Definetely more malty than Corgon, no rubberness in taste, less hops but much better balanced. Though their amount is almost the same, they are much better build in and the hoppy bitternessbeing nicer than Corgon is not violating the mild sweety, milky, malty sweetness which create nice base.
Palate: Palate is nice, bitter, strong, quite long lasting, very good Bohemian Pilsener. Aftertaste is delicious, very long finish, surprisingly well, almost like the aftertaste of Budweiser Budvar.
estpiwo (286), Estonia Oct 23, 2007 0,5L bottle. Light hoppy aroma, flavor is not so sour like martiner zdroj, more hoppy. D (505), Kraków, Poland Jun 12, 2007 Golden colour, medium head. Slight bitterness; quite a standard pilsener. Seemed heavy. Enjoyable overall, but nothing to rave about. Quinten (786), zaandam, Netherlands Aug 18, 2006 golden color, medium head,..with slaty bazant the real pivovar, some hop bitter , fully bottom with biscuits parts and sweeds,..citrus. Daredevil (77), Bern, Switzerland Jul 24, 2006 Slovak beers are generally lighter in taste and body than Czech beers, although relatively similar. Though only few are outstanding, the vast majority are of decent quality.
This one is more than just decent and belongs among the best Slovak lagers. Nothing really special, just dry and hoppy, but very clean and balanced.
