Oakes (7047), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 4, 2004 Ruby-brown colour. Aroma of plums, banana and rice. It has a funny, toasty, chocolatey, prune/date character. Finishes like a mixture of bananas and chocolate in a milkshake. A little odd, but I like it. Ungstrup (11930), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 21, 2003 The aroma is rather sweet, flowery, fruity, and yeasty. The color is a slightly unclear brown and it has a beutiful light brown head - that collapses. The flavor is sweet - yeasty wheat flavor with notes of caramel, nuts and alcohol prickling the tongue. A really lovely wheatbeer. TBone (5261), Pori, Finland Oct 2, 2007 Bottled@SBWF 2007
Hazy nutty brown color, big cloudy beige head. Woody hoppy and banana aroma. Toasted banana flavor, caramelly finish. Fizzy carbonation in the finish. Good, solid dunkelweizen, one of the best of the style from Germany. turbothy (632), Nørrebronx, Denmark Mar 30, 2008 ½L glass @ Zum Schwarzen Bären, Göttingen - didn’t see if it was from a bottle or vom Fass. Looks very nice; murky brown with large head. Sour but nice aroma. Sweet and refreshing flavour. Somewhat bubbly. ChristianSA (368), Copenhagen, Denmark Aug 20, 2005 Updated: Sep 24, 200550 cl bottle. Dark brown with nice tight head. Powerful aroma of acid, sugar and rotten fruit. Delicious! Flavor is full of chocolate and hints of anise and old rum. Standard weizen m/f and carbonation. Rather sweet.
