Decent enough amber lager, nice malt character, nothing exciting or unexpected. LinusStick (1851), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Wow was this aweful. No aroma except a little malt. Pour was a decent dark amber with a nice 1 finger off white head. Problem was with the flavor. It was like seltzer water with a twist of malt. No aftertaste. No complexity. The friend I brought with me said he liked Yuengling better. ’Nuff said. Beerman6686 (1296), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Dusty finish. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

I’m not sure if classifying this as an american dark lager is doing this justice. Darker than their 3 rivers gold. Same color as yuengling, not quite the brownness that we’ve come accustomed to in a dark lager. No head just a tea froth on top. Good malty initial flavor without bitterness. Balanced and enjoyable. Can barely smell the fragrance of this brew. Friendly and enjoyable., Good medium carbonation bite. Slight medium bitterness build on the palate with each sip during the session. Finishes with a low medium malty alcohol bitterness that is neither out of control nor offensive. Overall, a very enjoyable brew. FROTHINGSLOSH (2038), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA
