Had at HBF on draft. Pours dark brown, with a nice corn flakey, malty aroma. Tastes of malt, corn flakes, caramel. Smooth finish.

Lower other scores, but overall a good score because i love this place and there beer is really cheap compared to other brew pubs

The brewer said that this was more of an octoberfest/maerzen style. Didnt taste like it was 6.1%. Lots of munich malt flavors and slight european hop aromas. Not too special but very drinkable and smooth.

Light fruity malt aroma, little hops. Copper red-brown clear with small off-white head. Medium watery body with light-medium, smooth carbonation. Sweet malt start with no bitter or acidity. Finish is sweet with nutty bitterness. After is sweet, but not overpowering. Alcohol, malt is nicely balanced in flavor with light bitterness, though very last of the finish/after is kind of sour.

Draft sample at Altoona location. Light amber clor, foamy, off-white head. Nice malt nose, slight hops, bit of malt, nice. Malt character, carmel and chocolate with a crisp hop finsih. Yuengling-esque, but better.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear amber pour with a thin off-white head. Malty aroma with caramel and hints of nut. Caramel malt flavor with some slight hop in the finish to dry it out. Not bad.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a darkish amber color with a khaki head. The aroma was sweet, tangy and malty. The flavor was very malty, slightly nutty and a bit roasty. There was a lightly tangy finish.
