On tap @ Duncansville. Pours a very dark amber to orange pour with a small foamy head. Nice citrusy and floral nose. Moderate to heavy bitterness and crackery toasted maltiness with a long lingering finish. Medium bodied with a fairly creamy soft texture. Nice soft carbonation. Overall, the best of the bunch of 8 beers I had that night.

Draft at Allison Park. Pours copper amber with a creamy, retentive off white head. Malty aroma fused with floral and citrus hops. Malt profile of dark caramel and brown sugar that is overpowered by a bitterness that carries through to the finish. Some faint alcohol detected. I found the hop profile to be a tad harsh and abrasive.

(Duncansville) Creamy beige head atop clear dark amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit, light pineapple/pine. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, light pine. Medium body, some resin, light acidity. Seems a similar recipe to their APA, just a little bit bigger.

Pours a clear copper color. Aroma is of tons of hopps. Flavor is the same, very bitter with not much balance.

Sampler at the Allison Park location, 02.03.08 (Super Bowl Sunday). Copper amber, white head. Aroma is hoppy (tangerine, kiwi). Flavor is hoppy and bitter. This is similar to the pale ale, but sweeter (malty) and more bitter.

On tap, 10/25/07. Slightly hazy deep red color with quickly dying off white foam. Big piney and citrus nose. Big chewy crystal malts, a little too big and kinda muddy, lots of piney hops. Seems like it’s struggling for balance when it’s not needed.

On tap at Marzonis in Allison Park. Pour was a nice dark amber with a 1 finger white head. Aroma was decent...hops all the way. Little carbonation.Very hoppy and unbalanced. I like my IPAs a little unbalanced when it comes to hops. The hops are don’t come through until the aftertaste, but then they grab your tonsils and make you wish you didn’t have them (in a good way). They don’t bite, but they nibble. Good beer for a brew pub.
