Toasty, bready, juicy hops in the nose, along with a tangy dark orange and sugary gun scent, rounded out with some spiced toast. Sweet smelling overall. Properly tart and puckery on the tongue, medium thickness and moderately frothy. Has a resiny sweetness in the finish, and is a very good drink, with some oily dryness, but also a bit chalky as well. Has some gummy sweet pine sap hops everywhere. Very tasty. lilannie (383), State College, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 1, 2006 Overall this is a decent (meaning above average) IPA. Marzoni’s does not usually disappoint me.
Appearance: Hazy copper color.
Smell: Bold floral hops fill the nose.
Taste: The feature of this beer is the big hops, like "Super-Hop" from Barley Creek or "Hedonism from Legacy" this beer leans heavily on the bitterness. I like that and if you do to then you’ll enjoy this one.
Mouthfeel: The bitterness covered the palate and made it difficult to notice there could have been a stronger backbone.
Drinkability: I would easily drink this beer all night. It is a hop fans IPA.
Hope this is helpful.
Cheers!

Aroma of pine, grapefruit and very earthy. Flavors of the same with a nice bitterness coming through and again very earthy. Did not realize when I had this that it was a IIPA. Sampled on draft at the State College beer festival this beer poured a hazy chestnut color with a medium sized tan head. The aroma is sweet cascade hops - and rather strong at that. The flavor is thick and sweet with strong cascade hops. The citrusy hop flavors coat the tongue and linger for quite a while. A wonderful beer for a hophead like me. hopscotch (5507), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Lightly hazy, deep amber ale with a small, creamy, khaki head. Good retention. The aroma is malty and hoppy... butterscotch, pine and toffee. Rich, malty flavor up front, chased by moderate hop bitterness... nice, lasting bite. Full-bodied and creamy with lively carbonation. Lengthy, very bitter finish. Leaves the mouth very dry. Great brew! boto (1339), Granby, Connecticut, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 1, 2004 Draught @ brewery: There is a fairly strong off-white head that subsides down to a bit of lacing on the glass. The color is a slightly hazy amber/copperish color. The aroma is fairly strong and somewhat pleasing. Mostly a big whiff of grapefruity hops. The taste is a bit hit of citric hops up front. A little un-balanced, and a tad harsh. Still, a very good beer. A pleasant suprise to find this brewpub. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 21, 2004 A standout at the HBF. Pours amber with hop floaties. Awesome hop, pine, fruit aroma. Tastes very hoppy, piney, with some spice, fruit, and a mouth full of real hops at the finish. Well hidden alcohol, super hoppy, and a nice complexity. Just an incredible brew!
