On tap at Marzonis in Allison Park. Please stop with the orange slices in wheat beers. In this case, nothing would help this beer. Aroma was nothing. I put my big schnozz in the glass and could not pick up much other than the orange that was there. Pour was a nice hazy orange with a one finger white head. Taste was VERY watery and flavorless. Some tartness came through in the end as it warmed up. Blah.

Just recently installed company just down the road form me, I was very excited to try these beers. This was a decent representation of the style, but nothing to write home about.

Draught at the brewpub. Pours very cloudy pinkish golden yellow (sort of the color of grapefruit juice) with small white head. The aroma is lemon zest, slight compost, and lots of earthy tones. the flavor is strangely earthy and kind of doughy at first, then gets a tart, zesty kick. It dries out toward the finish, gets acidic for a moment, then leaves a yeasty aftertaste.

Draft at Altoona Location. LIght yellow and cloudy. All I smelled was the lemon they served with it which was quickly discarded. Wheat malt, kind of skunky. Not the best wheat I’ve had, but was ok.

On tap at the Marzoni’s in Allison Park. Here it has been renamed Wildwood Wheat to appeal to the local yocals. Served with a lemon that was promptly removed. Hazy swirling unfiltered pour. Wheat beer appearance and the color of lighter lemon ade. Cannot detect any spices in there and I like that, way too many beers of this genre are overspiced. Tho there is an absence of spices, the olfactory senses a small amount of tartness. No head. This beer is very nice and easy to like. As a wheat lover, I can appreciate this brew. SImple and witbier like. Has a slight mild building bitterness with each sip. Clean tasting with tingling carbonation. Well behaved, with manners. A really good example of what an american wheat can be like. This stuff is so refined and simple it borders on the quality of Hoegaarden. Except for that slight mild bitterness, this stuff is great. One of the better american wheats I’ve ever tasted. Thanks Marzoni. This probably should fall under the witbier style as it blows away most american wheats.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a very cloudy pale yellow color with a medium sized white head. The aroma was yeasty, dry and had a noticeable banana element. The flavor was banana, bubblegum and bitter malts with a hint of citrus underneath. There was a long bitter finish.
