Bottle shared at the Cleveland tasting. I am not entirely sure, but I am guessing it arrived via Mtoast! Poured dark brown, almost black. Taste was dark chocolate and coffee. A bit sweeter up front, and bitter on the aftertaste.

(Duncansville, 8.5%) Brown-black body topped by tan head. Aroma is moderately sweet, chocolate/fudge, light cherry, alcohol. Taste is medium sweet, chocolate, some fusel, boozy/aastringent. Medium-full body.

22-oz bottle received via trade with mj. Pours opaque with a spare, frothy, dark brown head, diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, chocolate, roasted grain), average hops (flowers, perfume), average yeast (dough, leather) with notes of plum, dates, wood, vanilla, and bourbon. Full bodied, creamy texture, soft carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, acidity, and bitterness; slight bourbon, vanilla, oak flavor that warms all the way down.

Bottle from mtoast. Pours a thin dark brown color with very litte head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel vanilla, light wood, and alcohol. The taste was the same with alitte too much alcohol.Sweet. Got much better as it warmed. Surprisingly the alcohol faded and it became quite enjoyable. Thinner bodied Imperial stout. Wish I had another to lay down.

22oz bottle. Big vigorous pours yields about 1mm of foam atop a jet black liquid, retentions is pretty bad when you don’t have much to retain, lacing is minimal. Aroma is slightly syrupy, little bit of caramel and a little bit of chocolate and big stupid bunches of alcohol. Flavor is some dark chocolate, boozy whiskey barrel notes (possible this was barrel aged??), very restrained for an Imperial Stout but still lots of alcohol notes. Mouthfeel actual benefits from the low carbonation. Not bad, a bit thin and lacking the huge complexity of some other IS. Note: From the taste, this seems like it was barrel aged, there was no note of it on the bottle however.

Black body. Thin dark tan head, mostly diminishing. Aroma is very sweet with notes of melon, ornage peel and bourbon leading. Further contemplation reveals rich coffee, milk chocolate, monstrous notes of treacle and uncooked brownies complete with chocolate icing. Somehow I don’t think this needs to go in the oven though. Flavor is almost as rich and satisfying as the nose. Roastiness is moderate. Honey notes and lesser bourbon and woddiness in the taste trhan in the flavor. Still very sweet, with mild bitterness and low acidity. Finishes very bitter, roasty and chocolatey. Alcohol is prominent throughout. Mouthfeel is full, rich, warming and very smooth.

Courtesy hopscotch. Black with a very thin tan head. Sweet aromas of chocolate, malt, and some alcohol. Thick, creamy palate. Flavor is a great balance of rich roast flavor and a defined alcohol presence. Rich bitter roast finish. Damn good.
