thanx to hopscothch for sharing this one.I never heard of this brewer and I was quite impressed.Pours black with a small tan head that dissipated quick. The typical charachterisitics of an Impy.Roastedness, chocolate and coffee. The flavors all were there along with some sweetness.Finish was bitter sweet leaving wanting more.

Courtesy hopscotch. Pours pitch black, with pretty much no head at all. Smells of some sweet bourbon, which I was shocked to learn it wasnt BB aged. Big chocolate, and some vanilla too, really stood out in the nose. I’m liking this beer already. Very rich and thick mouthfeel, big, big chocolate with some nice alcohol notes that seem to compliment the chocolate well. Get some bourbon in the taste too, but not as much as the smell. Very smooth and lovely beer. I’d like to try more from this brewery.

Pours a black color with a tan head. Has hints of coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, and candied fruit. Finishes with a clean bitter taste on the tongue. Thanks Hopscotch for sharing.

Courtesey of Hopscotch...In a night of rarities and never again to be tasted beers, this gem stood out just a bit. Ebony black color with a slightly sweet aroma, reminds me of the coffee served at a Vietnamese restaurant. Awesome beer.

Bottle... This beer Rocks!... Pitch black pour with a small, creamy, light brown head. The aroma is a swirl of chocolate, coconut and vanilla with an undercurrent of tobacco, bourbon and cola. Burnt, bitter, boozy flavor. Light, chocolaty sweetness bows to moderate acidity. Full-bodied and chewy with medium carbonation. Burnt, bitter, bourbon finish that dries out in the end. This brewer should no longer be under the radar. World class beer! Thanks go out to 1FastSTi for providing the bottle!

Bomber via Bill. 2005 vintage. The beer pours a dark brown body that looks mostly black. A thin rejuvenatable brown head sits on top. Good lacing. The aroma has a lot of roasty malt, notes of licorice, chocolate, and woodsy spices. Kinda made me think that if Anchor OSA was an imperial stout, this would be it. The flavor is bitter cocoa powder, licorice, woodsy charcoal, rich dark chocolate. "Spicy" palate that is rich, lightly tart, and roasty.

2005 vintage black pour w/ a creamy tan small head w/ nice lacing. Hot aroma definate alcohol notes some heavy roasting almost tobacco like w/ some chocolates and hints of strawberry. Palate is full and well coated, lightly creamy. Flavor is very nice rich chocolates almost like french silk pie w/ some hints of dry chalky something.. some light plum and other light fruit finishes lightly alcoholic. Very good.

Thanks Blake! 2005 vintage. Reddish cola color. Sparse dusty/bubbly tan head. Aroma has strawberried hops, sweet milk chocolatey malt with a light amount of roasting, some tar. Flavor is rich with charred wood, chocolate, light sweet fruity/cherry hops, some bubblegum. Great flavor.
