BückDich (4618), Boise, Idaho, USA Apr 9, 2008 Bottle: Ruby black, tan head and light lacing. Nose of subtle roast, light sulfur and copper. The flavor is chewy, fairly dry and not much as far as a little fruity esters. Bland lagery and not enough roast. Fairly clean though.
BeerGestapo (430), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 9, 2009 Brewed in the Czech Republic... Pours black with an ultra thin off white head. Aroma of caramel, bread, and malts. Taste is of very mild chocolate, with some hoppy notes. The mouthfeel is very thin and watery, but still pleasant enough to drink. LinusStick (1644), Moon Township, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 4, 2009 Blah. A subpar schwarzbier. Aroma was near nil. Could pick up some light bread and chocolate notes. Pour was a a deep near black with a thin tan ring for a head. Taste was very thin and watery but nice a drinkable. The low ABV makes it seem like you could drink it all day. Very watery and thin with a light roasted malt flavor and just minor notes of chocolate and bitter malt. Ljunkan (198), Karlstad, Sweden Jan 1, 2009 Can, 4,4% Swedish version. Roasted malt, light salty aroma. Some light notes of chocolate in the flavour together with some bread. Quite thin mouthfeel but better than other beers of this type. Not a favourite but definitely drinkable. redlight (1098), Winter Park, Florida, USA Dec 9, 2008 Sweet malts on the nose, bready. Pours very dark brown no head. Dark malts, hints of chocolate, bitter chocolate, grassy hops, very fresh tasting, good roasty flavors but light and easy to drink. ulvbane (3), , Sweden does not count Nov 29, 2008 Gott! Förvĺnande lite sötma. Inte sĺ bränd i smaken. Svag brödton, som i doften. Svaga nyanser av torkat korn.
