Commercial Description:
The Original ‘Ice Beer’. A strong lager. Frozen in the tank to remove some of the water, leaving behind an even stronger, richer and more complex beer. Rich, warming and malty. Eisbock is brewed to be appreciated and enjoyed.

Tried at Mash, over a month ago, didn’t take notes but it had a soft sweet malt aroma with not a lot of difference coming through in the taste, the drinkability was very good though, could have had a few more but fortunately had to go to work.

[On-tap at Mash] Pours red with a small off-white head. Holy soapy sweet taste! Floral, lots of grape, some alcohol, malt in the finish. Not real pleasant when cold, but as it warms, it becomes more nutty, and the malt (especially in the finish) comes out. Aroma is vaguely sweet, with similar characteristics as are seen in the taste, but it isn’t as strong. Medium mouthfeel, average length finish. This tasted way too sweet in the beginning, but it grew on me over time. Still not something that I would want to drink regularly, but not awful.
