opaque orange, sweet grapefruit aroma, lots of citrus grapefruit flavor with a sweetness that’s like sugar on your morning grapefruit, nice long low bitter finish, does not hold up to the bottom of the glass

clear copper, fine white head, solid lace, sweet citrus aroma, creamy body, rich hop flavor followed by tons of bitterness, enough caramel sweetness to provide a bit of a backbone but it’s all about the hops, best sample yet but still needs more hop flavor than the bitterness

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 4, 2005 (12oz bottle) Lightly hazed copper body topped by a big off-white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, floral, grapefruit, peach, some caramel. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, orange, floral, some peach, faint lime. Pretty solid bite. Smooth medium body with some resin. Could stand for a bit of rounding, but still, this is a pleasant beer. hopdog (5606), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a medium and cloudy amber color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of earth, floral / fresh green hoppiness, and faint caramel peaking its way through in the background. Tastes of caramel, citrus, and some floralness. Body a tad on the thin side. jcwattsrugger (5532), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

Fresh green pine and spruce hoppy bitter aroma has some floral orange citrus notes. Body starts toasty and gritty sweet turning more bitter, highly-carbonated, and dry toward a heavily bittering hoppy finish. A decent IPA. hopscotch (5507), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 2, 2005 Draft... Hazy, apricot ale with a small, creamy, white head. Great retention. Malty, floral aroma. Heavily bitter flavor... grapefruit rind, plastic and toffee. Medium-bodied and oily with moderate carbonation. Finishes bitter as hell. Surprisingly good.
