Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA Nov 29, 2005 Amber color with a decent head that quickly goes away. Very sweet aroma with toffee and caramel notes. Extremely malty and sweet and lacking in character. Easily drinkable as a session beer but not something you pick out for a special occassion. Only available in on draft as far as I know. wilkie (1189), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Jul 10, 2004 Draught. Amber color with small head. See through. Malty nose, some caramel noted. Flavor is somewhat malty, but somewhat yeasty as well. Not exactly what I would expect in a maibock. Slight bitterness in finish. Aurelius (2643), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Apr 8, 2004 Caramel, slight phenolic and diacetyl aroma. Buttery caramel flavor with some graininess. Hops kick in on the end. Dark scotch colored. Butternut finish. Came off as a little rushed or green.
