Tea flavors, but with something else I can’t figure out; probably the yerba. Glad it was shared. fishingnet (1045), Brandon, Florida, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 13, 2007 Bottle. Pours a hazy orange with a thin white head that leaves minimal lacing. Aroma of tea and citrus. Taste is the same as aroma with a touch of astringency. Thin mouthfeel with a medium amount of bitterness. Not for me. goldtwins (4080), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 11, 2007 Poured a hazy deep golden color with a thin white head. The aroma was very odd. Spicey, floral, perfumey. It was like that bubble gum that comes in the purple foil. Some vegetable aroma as well. The flavor tastes like there is no malt in it just some spices and bitterness. Thin and very dry. 5000 (2409), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 2, 2007 Bottle: Dirty golden, very hazy, lots of small floaty bits, moderate to large foamy off-white head, spotty lacing.   Spicy nose, somewhat reminds me of a Buffalo Bills Pumpkin Ale, albeit much lighter.   Very slight earthiness aspect too.   Pale cinnamin/nutmeg flavors, as well as all-spice and pumpkin pie.   I was thinking for some reason this was going to be more like an IPA or Pale, but this is quite a nice surprise.   Certainly somewhat light, not all that robust, but quite pleasant.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Soft spices linger.   Fairly clean, no earthiness on the tongue.   Kinda boring, but definitely more interesting and less offensive I thought it was going to be.   Ale with Yerba Mate?   Who woulda thought...

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 31, 2007 Nearly clear golden, moderate head, good lacing and retention. Aroma is heavily herbal (whatever Yerba mate is) with some light hops and some bread. Medium bodied, yerba mate dominates the flavor. Enjoyable and unique, but not sure it’s something I’d have again. 505 (271), Echo Park, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 18, 2007 Aroma is citrusy with hints of tea. Pours cloudy orangish. Flavor is not so much beer at all, but TEA. A slight bitter finish. DRY. Interesting. I’m making a tea beer now, so props, but not the tastiest thing on the planet.
