Commercial Description:
Redback Pale is a celebration of Australia’s original wheat beer, the beer that started it all – Redback. Available for a limited time from mid July in selected venues in Perth and Fremantle, Redback Pale is unfiltered and unpasteurised. Brewed to the exact recipe of WA’s favourite craft beer, Redback Pale contains the same carefully selected wheat, barley and hops. By skipping the filtration a slightly different flavour profile is created. More fruity aromas and a spicy hop note are present, and the beer has a cloudy appearance in the glass. Redback Pale as a style is best produced by small-batch brewing – Brad’s specialty!

bottled, brewtopia 06. i was quite curious to try the aged and unfiltered redback. murky yellow with a persistent fluffy head, traces of sediment. plenty of banana in the aroma and a hint of lemon peel. quite fizzy after spending a year in the bottle but not unpleasantly so. some light vanilla, light acidity, not bad

Soft cloves in the taste, lemon zest, light in body and easy drinking but maybe a little too lemony for me to drink several. Average size head that almost lasted the distance. Some lacing. Pale lemon/straw coloured body. 2nd Glass was served with a wedge of lemon, which made the head lasted a lot longer?!? The original is more golden in colour, less cloves and a little bit more restrained even a little harsh.
