BREWMUSKCLES (1062), New Jersey, USA Mar 6, 2009 well i suppose my thoughts about how old this bottle must be are correct ! today this brew tastes like an old ale. and a good one i might add. malty with that old rummy alcohol flavor yet still a bit of fresh farm flavor of straw and wet hay rounding it all out. deep dark fruit punch flavor that is butterscotch sugar and lingers a bit i doubt it tasted this way before it sat in a dank deli fridge on 9th ave and 40 th st NYC for years but hey it’s good now. of course looked pale when bottle put up to light but got cloudy as a wheat beer when poured. REST IN PEACE GOOD SOULS! Papsoe (14613), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 16, 2005 Updated: Mar 22, 2007(Bottle 35,5 cl) Apparently composed from a recipe by a retired firefighter as support and homage to the policemen and rescue workers of 9/11. Amber coloured lager with a pretty decent head. Malty with excellent hop aromas. littles310 (1), barnegat, New Jersey, USA does not count Dec 5, 2003 This beer is an american amber lager witha tarty after flavor.I liked it alot. The appearance of the bottle I really liked. Can anyone tell me where I can buy this beer? Aurelius (2643), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jan 26, 2003 Contrary to the description, this is an amber lager. The malts used in this are very good, and it could have almost passed for a bitter ale. I'm going to leave aside the whole "a portion of the proceeds goes to Police, Fire..." etc., and just talk about the beer. Light to medium amber. Decent mouthfeel, tart in the finish which hips you to the fact that its lager, I guess. Drinkable, but perhaps commerically maudlin.
