MesandSim (4723), Highgate, Greater London, England Sep 1, 2008 A Mes rate: gravicask at Peterborough Beer Festival.
Black brown with a tan rim. Slight roasted notes, reasonable malt and a hint of spice. Nicely dry. Similar to Ian I was expecting a lot more from this, sadly it was far from from great and struggling for condition.

Not much happening on the nose, but surprisingly strong flavours of chocolate roasted malts and spice. nice clean beer that tastes much stronger than it is - all in al an excellent mild.
