I enjoyed a pint of this in Blackfriars in Glasgow. The beer was very pleasant; quite surprising for a pint of mild. The nose was roasted malts and chocolate along with a hint of spices. These continued through to the taste, with the spices making an appearance at the end leaving a dry finish. A highly drinkable pint of mild.

Nov 2, 2008 Handpulled cask at the Lower Red Lion, St. Albans during September. Black/brown with off-white head. Mild in all departments with burnt caramel edging out in front. Refreshing and made for an enjoyable session.

Sep 1, 2008 <i>A Mes rate: gravicask at Peterborough Beer Festival.</i><br />Black brown with a tan rim. Slight roasted notes, reasonable malt and a hint of spice. Nicely dry. Similar to Ian I was expecting a lot more from this, sadly it was far from from great and struggling for condition.

Jul 10, 2008 Cask gravity at Ealing BF 2008. Really looking forward to this. Very dark brown with thin beige head. Oxidised. Flat. No condition. Over vented. Really watery and just poor.

Jul 9, 2008 Tasted at Chelmsford beer festival 08. Not much happening on the nose, but surprisingly strong flavours of chocolate roasted malts and spice. nice clean beer that tastes much stronger than it is - all in al an excellent mild.
