Max’s Political Pilsner

I had a Pilsner on tap at Max’s Brewpub. I don’t think it was named Political Pilsner nor was that name on the beer menu. The Pilsner I had was much closer to an Amber in overall flavor but it was lighter in color. The abv was listed as 6.7% which was a surprise too. A tasty pint it was but a bit high on the alcohol for a session beer.

Crisp and dry pils, refreshing and clean. A bit too much body, but it’s not excessive on the palate, only feels a little heavy for a pils. It’s rare to find good lagers in town, this is one of the better ones.
