 Oakes (8058), gone rambling, Vietnam
Feb 4, 2009 Dull straw with a loose head. Rich, woody, citrusy and lightly bready aroma. Really dry, with just pale malt underpinning. This brings the bitterness to the fore in a big way. Lightly fruity. There’s a faint oxidized character that is stale and cardboardy.

Feb 2, 2009 Warm hazy golden, leaves lots of lacing. Fruity fun aroma. Smooth carbonation and nice quaffability. Fruity body. Some citrus, a lot of hop bitterness in the vein of orange peel and douglas fir.

Appearance: dark yellow with a light haze, frothy white head, bits of lace
Aroma: light dry malt aroma with lots of floral and spicy hops
Flavor: dry malt flavor, just enough hops to balance it out and keep it dry, nice long bitterness arrives early and stays for dinner

Dec 28, 2008 on tap-pours a light tan head that laces and gold color. Aroma is citrus/pine hops (cascade), some malt. Taste is lots of bitter pine hops, some sweet medium malt. Mild/OK carbonation.
