Aurelius (2643), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Oct 13, 2006 Intense, purply-orange, clear brew with a tan thin head. Sweet, carmelized malty aroma, but it reminded me a bit of malt likka. Woody bitterish finish, along with diacetyls and varous other chemicals. Plenty of diacetyl as things go along. wilkie (1189), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Oct 20, 2005 Draught. Amber, with small white head. Malty nose, with caramel. Malty flavor, but a little dry in the finish. Could be a bit more malty, and the body was a little watery. SledgeJr (2957), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Oct 7, 2005 On tap at the brewpub. This one has 8% abv according to the bartender. poofy head. creamy. traditional copper color. nice and buttery smooth beer! pleasant palate. sammy3D (114), Lawrenceville, Georgia, USA Sep 24, 2005 Clear reddish brown beer fresh from the tap. Nice hoppy aroma otherwise was difficult to get the other smells due to the max lagers wood fire grill smoke in the aire. Minimal head with some lacing. Super flavor with hops up front and crisp, dry malt finish. Nice locally brewed seasonal. aracauna (2357), Georgia, USA Oct 11, 2003 The color was a clear medium brown and a decent head. The aroma was surprisingly hoppy. The flavor has a good malt caramel base but I wouldn't call it really malty. The hops came in with a crisp bitterness that made this a very drinkable Oktoberfest.
