NachlamSie (1630), Tennessee, USA May 11, 2009 On tap. Pours near black with a huge head. The nose is very sharp and extra bitter with a subdued chocolate quality. Hints at meat, wood, and baking chocolate are here. This is very dry, creamy, and hearty. Flavors of earth, meat, and the bitterest of chocolate are in the flavor. This was another big surprise from Max Lagers. The creamy palate and meaty flavors sealed the deal for me on this one. This is no watery or sweet porter for sure.
