Feb 15, 2008 Bottled. A black beer with a short lived off white head. The aroma is a bit thin; just hints of caramel. The taste has some sweetness. Chocolate notes and coal. It’s an average schwarzbier.

Nov 24, 2007 Bottle. Dark brown with a large cream foam. Aromas are malty with mollasses and chocolate. Sweet and lightly roasted. Some herbal notes. Flavours are sweet chocolate and weetabix malts with raisins. Quite vinous. Lightly herbal on the finish. Addictive.

Oct 9, 2007 Bottle. A red brown beer with a big beige head. The aroma is roasted malt, corn, rye bread, chocolate and herbal hops, the taste is light dusty roasted malt, rye bread, chocollate and hops. Medium body with a dry roasted, rye bread finish. A bit thin, but quit good.

Dec 16, 2006 Bottle (courtesy by joss): Deep amber coloured, small, a bit lacing, off-white head; dark-malty, roast-malty nose, yes, but also fruity notes combined with a herbal hoppiness; sweetish (-malty) flavour, slightly bitter, light to medium bodied; drier malty-bitter finish with a tinge of resinous hops. Unusual, but well drinkable Bier........
