Aged for many months in American oak barrels previously home to premium Californian Zinfandel and Cabernet wines, this beer has been guided at every step of its evolution to create the perfect blend of beer and wine essences. A jewel in the crown of Mayfield Brewing Company’s artisan beers, we invite you to revel in floral and fall fruit notes with tannic overtones, all happily married in the mellow oak influence of the barrels.

Bottle via trade. For a $45 bottle, I was really expecting something great. Some sour, metallic, and cardboard notes. Oxidized. No discernable ipa elements. Stay away.
