Commercial Description:
A “very sweet brook” welcomed the cold and thirsty Pilgrims to Plymouth. Today, it provides us with the soft water that is perfectly suited for brewing lighter-colored and milder beers. Mayflower Golden Ale is crisp and dry with a slight malt flavor and a subtle hop spice. This straw-colored ale provides easy drinkability for the novice yet plenty of flavor for the most discriminating connoisseur.

Pale light yellow golden color. Aroma is basically of malts, hops, and a little bit of caramel. Taste is pretty much the same. The malts really come out in front with a slight citrus flavor in the back end. It has a smooth aftertaste in the finish. Overall not too bad of a brew. A good session beer.

Cask at burkowskis in Cambridge. Pours golden with a HUGE head. Especially for a cask beer.

Drinkable, but very forgetable. Average at best. Reminded me of Coors Light, that I used to drink as a newbie beer drinker, and used to think that was great, a bit older and wiser now, this beer is nothing special.

Pleasant gold color with a quick white head and light lace. Excellent example of golden ale. Clean bodied with sweet start and gentle bite at the end. Hints of spice. A solid pour.

Golden pour with a fluffy white head and lace. Aroma of light malt and not much more. Flavor of semi sweet malt with a bit of a cloying sweet finish. Medium bodied with excellent carbonation. I think this may be one of the best golden ales I’ve had. It didn’t have much on the aroma but pretty flavorful for a golden.
