Pours a nice dark brown with a decent sized head. Aromas of the standard Belgian spice and nice light fruits come through. A bit of caramel coming through as well. The flavor contains some light fruit, a bit of banana, maybe some apple as well and perhaps a touch of caramel as well. The finish is nice and easy...goes terrific with cheese!!

Bottle from The Bier Stein in Eugene, OR. Poured a brown color and smelled of light fruits. Tasted almost like a white wine or champagne. I would drink this again.

Why not MAC Chouffe? Goldy brown and cloudy with a noisy bubbly tan head. Very full balanced flavors seem to feature dark dry fruit and caramel, spice pears and demererra, a light spiking of hops. Aroma indicates taste. Hey this is what it is and what it is is pretty good.

Deep ruby brown with a bubbly off-white head. Rich fruity aroma of plums and dates, with brown sugar and molasses. Sweet malty and fruity flavour, with a touch of alcohol towards the finish.

An unclear brown beer with a 1 finger head. Aroma of fruit(plums), sour, & leather. The taste was fruity with a watery finish. The alcohol is well hidden, but its only downside is the sour taste. As you get closer to the bottom of your bottle it gets more sour in an unpleasant sort of a way.

Sweet molasses like aroma wafts up from a brown beverage with a thick foamy head. VERY smooth and drinkable - for 8.5%, this is incredibly balanced and smooth. You could chug this stuff. Sweet malt on the palate - brown sugar, toffee, some faint yeasty notes.
