Bottle 33 Cl. Dark amber colour, medium head quite sweet. Smells on hops and candy sugar, taste is a bit fruity with small acidity, not very complex quite bitter at the finish.

330ml bottle. A dark brown hazy beer with a reddish tinge and a thick lasting beige head. Aromas of dark malts, molasses and soft spiciness. Flavours of caramel malts with a restrained fruitiness (plums, figs) and a nice drying spicy hop finish with an alcoholic warmth. Nicely balanced and not overly sweet for a bruin ale. Medium to full bodied with a rich mouthfeel reflecting the ABV. Pleasant.

Sweet aromas, that are surprisingly absent in taste, a healthy amount of dark fruit esters and a faint oaken nature. McChouffe is dark brown in color, with a thin white collar. The initial taste is of dark fruit, a little fig or raisins with a dash of spices to include some faint clove, some underlying Belgian yeast, and the softest hops, there is also a mild oakey flavor to it as well. The feel is superb with a very pleasant spicy start, and an effervescent dark fruit fizz and feel at the end.

Pours a very dark brown with a nice thick tan head. Aroma is pleasant of roasted malts and dry fruits with brown sugars. Flavor of roasted malts, fruity with plum and blueberry like sweetness. Some caramel, brown sugars and spices. Very well balanced, so pleasant, such a great tasting experience.

750ml bottle. ruby brown pour with little floaties visible at the bottom of the glass where the light comes through. huge off white head with spotty soapy lacing. aroma was muted musty smells of raisins, caramel and cocoa. biscuit malts, dark fruits and light spices in the taste. texture was thinner than I expected for some reason. just wanted it to be a little more chewy. noticed butterscotch and nuts in the taste as well. definitely lots of subtle stuff going on here.

Un peitt gout sucré qui taquine les papilles. Elle est assez forte, puissante, c’est une bière que je garde en mémoire.

Pours quite a dark, cloudy brown with a red tinge. Tan head.
Aroma has a lot of caramel, there’s a little alcohol there with a hint of dark fruit there.
It tastes full of dark fruit and spices, can taste some yeast too. Initially sweet, then balanced nicely by a complex herbaceous flavour. A perhaps oft underrated, amazing beer.
