A brown beer with a great head. The aroma is very fruity and alcoholic with notes of smoked malt. The flavor is very sweet - too sweet for my liking - with a great palate, but no hops to compensate the sweetness. The flavor contains notes of smoked malt, wood and fruits. A fine beer - with great memories.

(Bottle 75 cl) Dark amber with a reddish tint and an off-white head with pretty good retention. Very malty body with lovely notes of caramel and toffee - and spices too. Very discreet late bitterness. 311296

Bottled. Ruby colour, lively head. Funky grapefruit mingle with toffee and yeast in the nose. The sweetness is balanced by a rich, but not overly heavy maltiness. There are notes of honey, oak and caramel. The finish is mild with just some grassy bitterness. A malt accented and discretely complex beer. Very pleasant, but not fantastic.

From tap at Ølbaren. Pours deep amber to brown with a dense light tan head, dense. Slight chalky, very fruity, mild wineous and spiced. Flavour is solid spiced, fruity and with a medium dry flavour. Ends with a lingering spice note.

Bottle 750ml. The appearance is mahogany (Dark black/brown) with thick creamy light brown head. The aroma has floral hops, caramel malt, yeast, and fruit. The flavor is malty with toffee and fruit, caramel, sugar with a hint of nuts. The aftertaste has a little chocolate.

Bottle. Malty aroma, but a bit like flat lager. Nice dark chestnut colour, big semi-stable head. Flavour is OK malty, but with a rather weak/watery aftertaste. Nice, soft carbonation.
