| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 30, 2005 Pours out a nice brown color with a decent white frothy head. The aroma is of yeast and sweet fruit, maybe grapes or cherries. The taste is sweet with some notes of grapes, and some other sweet fruits I couldn’t really put my finger on. Finishes with a slight alcohol flavor. Nice beer goozen (1088), Leiden, Netherlands

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 12, 2005 very rocky pale-tan head that has medium last. dark ruby/copper color. nose is whiskey-like, light peated malt, some raisin and dark fruit. also some grapefruit aroma. medium to light mouthfeel, lively carbonation and very creamy palate. flavor is dry and peaty malt, whiskey-like alcohol finish. subtle dark toffee flavors upon warming. Wait, now that it’s getting warmer, this is a completely different brew - this is tasting more like a brown belgian ale. it’s getting sweeter, more toffee flavors coming through, and less peat/alcohol. not a true scotch ale but I like this blend. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 18, 2004 This was decent. It poured a dark brown color with a tan head. It was very alcoholic in flavor and the finish was very sweet. A nice beer, and I will have to try it again.
