11.2 ounce bottle in Westmalle chalice. Dark reddish brown with lasting flat head. Spicy earthy farty cherry cough syrup aroma. Flavors dominated by spice earth brown sugar cough syrup with cloying sweet finish. Medium-full body and medium carbo. A whole lotta flavor, not all of it good.

Pours a deep russet brown with a foamy, soapy, off-white head. Aroma is warming with notes of dark malts, brown sugar and toffee. The body is medium and lush. The flavors are caramelly, oh-so-balanced, chocolate with a ton of heat that really detracts from the overall experience. Maybe needs a few years.

bottle at a tasting. not bad. i just thought it was supposed to be a darker, maltier La Chouffe. which it kinda is. definitely mostly sweet malts, a bit thicker, less alcohol. still belgian yeast esters.

Looks lovely. Caramel orange with a medium/large light tan head. Malt, alcohol, dark fruit, yeast, spice, caramel, and light citrus. Sweet, malts, spices, and a little alcohol. Finishes with a warm alcohol sensation. Nice, smooth body. Very good, but after a 750ml of it I grew a litle tired of it. I’d buy it again, though.

Bottiglia da 75 cl comprata da Squillari; aroma abbastanza dolce e blando, simile a quello della Chouffe normale, sapore però più "scuro" cioccolato e pasta e fagioli. Corpo leggermente meno robusto. Buona comunque!!! Meglio ora che quando la produrrà Moortgat

Sampled on draft. I really had no idea what I was drinking (the beer McDonald’s serves in Belgium?), but found this to be one of the most enjoyable beers in an already great beer weekend. Such beautiful brown malt and perfume aroma. Tremendous stuff.

Dark brown colour, full foamy beige head, full one, caramel, hops, sweets like candy, only wrong thing is: there is only a 75cl bottle to buy.
