Nov 28, 2008 This is one great beer. A wonderful flavor, not sweet. Creamy for sure. A bit of spice but some good balance between light and heavy. Truly excellent.

Feb 26, 2006 Updated: Feb 18, 2007This is almost as good as Chimay Blue or Grand Reserve. It is one of the best examples of a Belgian Strong ale that there is in the World.

Apr 4, 2008 This is a really fantastic beer, very complex in flavor. Nice balance of hops and malt. Has flavors of bananas, figs. and plum. Very complex and delicious.

May 29, 2005 11.2 oz bottle. Dark brown beer, ruby tint, with a thick, sticky, light brown head. Sweet malty aroma, plum, pine (needles, not hops), brown sugar, yeasty spice, clove, and a nutty breadiness. Very complex and superbly balanced nose. Flavour is awesome, malty and sweet up front, but never cloyingly so. Brown sugar, toast, clove and spice, some heavy plumminess. Full bodied and delicious. Awesome beer.
