This one was good but not as much as La Chouffe. But anyway I'm glad I tried it. JasonG (700), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

This brew pored a vaery large creamy head of finely sized light brown bubbles that was mostly lasting. It has a softly carbonated semi transparent brown body and a heavenly malty aroma. Its mouthfeel is slightly tingly at first then fades into a noticeable mild alcohol burn as the flavor of spices, roasted caramel malts and vinuos alcohol notes kick in. Its mild kick starts to set in after just a few sips. egajdzis (3626), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA

Spicy, fruity, slightly malty aroma. Dark fruits, and sweet caramel are prominent in the taste. Hard carbonated mouthfeel, but I too, would classify this as a dubbel. Aroma is spicy and malty, hints of citrus and caramel. Flavor is very balanced, rich malty, hints of scotch, molasses, quick finish. All around well made and enjoyable beer, exactly what you expect for a Belgian take on Scotch ale.
