Bottle. Poured a dark brown with a huge light brown head that lasted. Good spice malt aroma with a small alcohol tone. Medium body with a sticky texture. Good toasted malt flavor with a moderate spicy finish. Very good brown ale.

Sweeter than I expected it to be. Very nice malty character throughout the beer with some hops in it but not much. Spicy on the palate with plenty of alcohol present. Good beer and one I am going to keep an eye out for.

This reddish brown ale poured with a lacy tan head, eliciting a malty aroma. The flavor is spicy toasted malt with a slightly smoky finish and a heavily carbonated mouthfeel. The taste mellows as the beer warms, resulting in a very satisfying drink.

Murky brown with a lacy head of tiny bubbles. Vinuous, grape bubblegum, dark cherry, currant, vanillin and popcorn aromas. Bright, oaky malts, nutty, with a savory fruit finish. Tight carbonation. Maybe a little short on palate. A delicate scotch ale.

750ml green bottle. Medium brown pour, head is foamy and large, quite creamy and off white in colour. Dark malts in aroma, roasty with a slight cola note, also traces of iron. Flavour was dark sweet malt with some roasted grains. Mild carbonation and medium body.

The 750ML bottle poured a deep brownish ruby red beverage with a huge frothy cream colored head that settled to a small creamy head that was completely lasting and left good lacing on the glass. The aroma was characteristic of a Belgian strong ale ... pungent, fruity and spicy notes caress the senses with hints of leather, malt and cotton candy hiding in the recesses of the palate. The body was full with soft carbonation and a smooth, creamy texture. The flavor started out sweet and stayed that way throughout the long finish. There is a subtle alcohol warmth at the end as well.

Another wonderful product from the dAchouffe family... the yeast lingers around in typical in a chouffe aroma. A most smooth ale that reeks of chocolates and toffees in a way quite unlike a porter or a stout. A great sampler and a great beer

Pours dark, hazy, reddish-orangish with a mostly receding, wispy, foamy tan head. Considerable lacing. Aroma of phenolic apples, spice, bubble gum esters, tripping toffe covered pineapples. Taste is vinous, raisins, toffee, peat, earthy malt. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with a soft wispy touch and lush carbonation. Very elegant Belgian ale.
