A very nice Belgian brown ale. Very smooth with a little sourness up front. A slightly spicy flavor and a good smooth finish. Be careful as the high alcohol is not obvious and after a couple you’ll certainly feel it.

Lacking the complexity of some of the better beers of this style, although I would consider it somewhere between the Belgian and Scottish styles, as it isn’t nearly as smokey or malty as a true Scottish ale. Some woody flavor in the malt, but it finishes poorly.

Excellent appearance, nice malty aroma and flavour but perhaps a bit overcarbonated when drinking it.

Fruity and yeasty. Magnificant head and colour. Strong alcoholic notes in the palate.

Sweet aroma. SLightly sweet body hodes the alcohol well. Finishes to the sweet side. This is actually a Belgian brown ale, not a Scottish

750ml capped bottle, cloudy hazy reddish-copper color, nice big foamy off white-tan head that leaves good lacing in the glass, yeasty, fruity and spicy aroma. Bready malty fruity flavors, full and crisp palate, yeasty banana sweet sugary finish, good stuff.

Lovely garnet colour & prodigeous head. Big malty aroma & taste, slightly spiced. Just not overly complex. Nothing wrong with it but not exceptional. Gosh, I’m getting fussy.

Interesting combo of typical belgian brown ale flavors, mixed with Scottish caramely sweetness. Unusual aroma. Small sharp bubbles up front, but smoother as it warmed. My friend pointed out that there""s a strong Coca-Cola flavor in this, and I agree.
