Malty, yeasty aroma. Cloudy brown coloured. Nice head. Sweet taste, malty, fruity, hints of spices. Bitter finish. Okay.

Pours brown with ruby edges when held to light. Large beige head with good retention. Aroma of caramel biscuits, malt extract and fresh fruit. Sweet malty flavour, though very well balanced all the way through. Hops there, but just enough. I actually prefered this to the La chouffe.

Dark mahogany color with a good head and lacing, just right for the style. Enough carbonation to keep my chimay glass busy with it’s bubblicious column of aromomatic generation. The aroma has is lightly malty like a scotch but has a definate belgian quality to it. A bit of sweet malts and vinous hops. The flavor has a good amount of alcohol with some dark malts and tart toffee. Finishes very belgian with some bottle conditioned yeasyness and a little tart kick. Not too bad, unique scotch for sure though.

This is another beer in this sight that is mis-labeled. This is not a Scottish Ale., but anyway... This one pours a very nice dark brown color, with a big puffy tan head. Once it is poured you will see why this one gets tons of appearance points. It also has a very sweet chocolately aroma. Although it has basic flavors, it is still quite easy to drink, with lots of chocolate and cocoa in the flavor. Light to medium bodied in the mouthfeel with some nice dry roasted flavors in the finish.

Liked but didn’t love it. Well balanced but flavors weren’t that intense.

Bottled. Red/Brown colour with a fizzy remaining head. Ozon-like juniper aroma. Flavour of tit-bits with a pronounced malty sweetness.

A nice light brown pour with a huge head to it. Aroma of toffee, raisins, and clove. A complex balance hits your mouth with estery flavors, malt, and hops balancing out well. Slightly alcoholic on the tongue and kind of a powerful one to drink by yourself.
