Turco (11), Alma, Quebec, Canada Apr 9, 2008 Orange beer that pours a thin white head. Has a nice hops smell. The flavor is malty and fruity (apricot) with a well balanced weetness. Kind of bitter with a very dry end.
JesseM (442), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Jan 7, 2009 On tap at the Golden Kiwi. Taps a slightly deeper than average gold with a large frothy white head that laces the glass very well. Aroma is pretty unremarkable pale malts and some fruity esters, but very faint and barely recognizable. Flavour is slightly better with the fruity elements being complemented well with some dry hop zing in the finish and a sweet faint malty aftertaste. I was a bit let down by this one, it’s definitely not a bad beer, and highly drinkable, but much more faint and indistinct than I was expecting. matt7215 (654), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Dec 29, 2008 on tap at the golden kiwi. taps golden with a fluffy white head. muted hoppy pale ale aroma. enjoyable hop and malt playfulness but it is all toned down to macro standards. good but not great, when at the kiwi order the F & M in place of this. AWS9 (145), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Dec 4, 2008 Bottle. Pours nice gold colour, with a decent foamy head. Creamy texture, with a smooth mouthfeel, though a little bitter too. Sweet hops dominate, with a hint of maltyness. Pretty good example of the style. Flamojune (77), Ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada Oct 16, 2008 Bonne blonde rafraichissante de couleur dorée clair. Cette biere n’est pas pour autant cheap. Bon gout de malt, beaucoup de gout pour une petite blonde... mullet2007 (193), St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada Aug 14, 2008 Pours a nice crisp amber colour with a thick white head that quickly dissipates, leaving just a skiff of white foam. Smell is vaguely fruity, perhaps a little bit floral. Flavour is highly sweet, but with malts backing it upas opposed to just sugaryness. There’s some hop bitterness present in the finish, but not much flavour. It’s pretty highly carbonated, but in a good way for the style, and it’s actually reasonably thick, surprisingly.
