Clear, reddish amber pour with a thin head of tan foam that settled into a lasting cap. Spotty lacing. The aroma included toasted caramel, pumpkin, and perfumey pie spices. The flavor had rich caramel followed b some vegetal notes and strong spicing. The cinnamon and ginger really stand out. Medium-bodied mouthfeel. Slightly slick and lightly carbonated. Not bad. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Oct 17, 2009 Bottle. Clear reddish amber pour with a huge beige head. Spicy aroma of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and clove. Caramel flavor up front with cinnamon, ginger and clove. My only problem with this beer is that the spice leaves your tongue too quickly and your left with a somewhat watery finish. Vertical Bacon Strips (889), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Poured out a small foamy cap that rims and leaves some slippery ropy lacing. Heavy spices that are particularly weighted on ginger and cloves with a smaller amount of cinnamon and allspice. Caramel as well. The taste is pretty much a very strongly spiced pie... I can almost taste the crust. There is a touch of mint or something on the back end and some mild hops with a citrus quality. Cinnamon flavoured candy and a very hard to find biscuit. Not quite medium bodied, long almost sticky spicy after taste. Would make an interesting breath mint! Winner - St. Ambroise in a landslide. matt7215 (962), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada

Deep orange/amber, almost red, white head. The flavor is pumpkin, pie spices, nutmeg, caramel. The finish is a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, mostly spicy and peppery. The mouthfeel is thin/medium, slightly silky. Decent pumpkin ale, if not a classic. DerWeg (760), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 9, 2009 Drank 15º C. Immediately sexy wine-like and enjoyable. Aromas of sweet malt mingled with spice and warm squashy aroma. Very different layers of flavor going on, with almost a tiny bit of gueuze-like beautiful musty sour feel over the late finish. Also some cola, citrus, spice. Not as "pie-like" as the others, and shows less grassy hops (which ordinarily fight the added spices). Could certainly be pumpkin in there, sure... but this is irrelevant, what we’ve got is a very seriously tasty beer. Buy shiploads if you see it.

Pours a dark, clear copper colour with fizzy, quickly disappearing off-white head. Nice spicy aroma of pumpkin, nutmeg, allspice and cinnamon. Same spices very prominent in flavour with pumpkin more in background along with caramel malt. Crisp, dry finish with lingering spiciness. A nice fall beer.
