Bottle (341ml). Via trade with Viper666 - I think I owe you some beer, man!. Exquisite colour - bright, deep, clear refractive burnished copper with a decent frothy-fizzy, somewhat quick-diminishing off-white head. VERY spicy aroma - nutmeg, cinnamon, anise, herbal hops and sweet malt - man, that’s nice. Pumpkin - yes, real and restrained, nice underlying caramel malt; again the cinnamon-nutmeg etc, but more hop bitterness, more floral than bitter, has a very nice sweet spice/bitter finish. Light, crisp body, dry and astringent on the palate, there’s spice (and sweet yeast) for days, that and a subtle bitterness are the legacy on the tongue. Excellent - wish I had more, very easy to drink several.

Somewhat underated beer, this one a little aged and only the better for it. Allspice, caramel, not a bad drinker and above-average for a pumpkin style beer. Decent and complex aroma, dark brown colour, above average mouthfeel.

So it does smell like pumpkin. Is that bad or good? Look seemed to be a bit wash out. Very average quality yet very different

2009-10-01. Dark amber brown body, modest beige head. 3+ Aroma is quite spicy, cinnamon, nutmeg/clove, and a food smell I can not quite place. 7+ Flavour is similar, pleasant spice melange, sweet mild malt base. 7+ Smooth average palate. Pleasant. 7/3/7/3/15+ 3.5 Bottle at C’est What

2008-10-XX. Dark amber brown body with a small off white head. Spicy aroma, prominent nutmeg. ( 7+ ) Sweet base, spice throughout, nutmeg is also prominent in the flavour and lingers pleasantly in the finish. Smooth medium bodied palate. ( 3+ ) Rather nice, I look forward to getting some more. 7+/3/7/3/15 - 3.5 Bottle at C’est What

July 2003. Orangey copper with a pumpkin pie aroma. Leans more towards the pumpkin pie spices than pumpkin itself. Very enjoyable. Will try it again. 6/3/6/3/14 - 3.2

2 bottles (341ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, tupalev & mds -- courtesy of mds. Pours a clear orange-copper with an average size lasting creamy off-white head. Aroma: Yup, that’s pumpkiny alright, along with good amount of spices and backed by caramel malt. Nice spicy pumpkin flavour backed by caramel malt and a hint of hops. Medium bodied. Really good version of the style, well done!

Bottle in Montreal. Thin white head on copper. More nutmeg scent than pumpkin. Spicy pumpkin flavour but more spice than pumpkin.

Bottle. St-Ambroise Citrouille. In person trade with Glougoburp, drank at tasting because I didn’t have room in my bag for it. Pours amber red with an off white ring head. Very nice sweet and spicy nose. Very spiced pumpking taste. A little too much.
