Bottle. St-Ambroise Citrouille. In person trade with Glougoburp, drank at tasting because I didn’t have room in my bag for it. Pours amber red with an off white ring head. Very nice sweet and spicy nose. Very spiced pumpking taste. A little too much.

Bottle in Montreal. Thin white head on copper. More nutmeg scent than pumpkin. Spicy pumpkin flavour but more spice than pumpkin.

Pours a clear dark orange color with a thin white head. Strong aroma of nutmeg, cinnamon and pumpkin. The flavor has more focus on the spices (nutmeg and cinnamon) than the pumpkin, it doesn’t have the balance that the aroma has and its definitely less interesting. The body is medium and oily while the carbonation is soft. Not bad but it could have been way better.

The look: Clear amber body with a little beige ring of foam
The style: Spicy Pumpkin beer
The stuff: Lots of pumpkin flavour in there and quite a bit of spices too with the expected assortment of nutmeg, cinnamon and friends. Body is as full as can be expected from the genre and the carbonation is appropriately soft-medium. Doesn’t bring anything new to a generally boring style however it does it more intensely than most of the competition. Funny that I have never eaten a pumpkin or a pumpkin pie but I can now identify pumpkin flavours after drinking so many beers. So that’s at least one thing that beer has taught me, unfortunately is doesn’t quite make-up for all it has made me forget.
The how: Bottle, fresh.
The conclusion: Flavourful and slightly above average for the style.

Malty and spicey, ruby, slim head. Seems to have little pumpkin flavour. Nice mouthfeel from the spices, fair.

Bottled. Pour is super fizzy with a cola like head. Dark orange. Aroma has a good bit of pumpkin and pie crust, though not too spicy. Mellow flavor, a bit spritzy but thin bodied, light pumpkin sweetness in the finish. Has a bit of slate flavor to it, but overall not too bad. Messy, vegetal finish. Bearable.

[1751-20081003] 341mL bottle. Spiced pumpkin pie aroma has a hint of evergreen. Clear, red amber body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Spiced pumpkin cleaner fluid flavour has lots of pie and all spice. Medium body is a little spicy. Quite nice, great release time, tasty. (7/4/7/3/15) 3.6

[2514C-20091002] Tap. Lovely allspice muffin mix aroma has some scented nail polish remover notes. Clear, amber body with a long-lasting foamy off-white head. Raisin juice apple chunks flavour has some allspice sprinkled throughout. Medium body. Nice spice, odd raisin apple notes, nice overall. (8/3/7/3/14) 3.5

Bottle shared with Mds, Hogtown Harry, Blankboy, and Gregclow, courtesy of Harry? Paul? Lovely aroma - lots of pumpkin spice, nutmeg - great. Taste follows - tons of pumpkin spice, nice medium malt body - great stuff! Too bad about appearance - just plain copper with very little head and looks thin - otherwise, really flavourful!
