Poured a gorgeous deep burnished copper color with an excellent creamy tan cap.
Aroma is phenomenal....like liquid pumpkin pie...malts, pumpkin, spices and light sweetness...delicious!
Tastes pretty much like it smells..malty sweetness with pumpkin flavors and spice/hop astringence to balance, develops some earthy-mustiness in the middle...slightly drying finish with a wonderful pumpkin pie after taste.
Of the pumpkin beers I’ve tried this is undoubtedly the best.

Exquisite colour - bright, deep, clear refractive burnished copper with a decent frothy-fizzy, somewhat quick-diminishing off-white head. VERY spicy aroma - nutmeg, cinnamon, anise, herbal hops and sweet malt - man, that’s nice. Pumpkin - yes, real and restrained, nice underlying caramel malt; again the cinnamon-nutmeg etc, but more hop bitterness, more floral than bitter, has a very nice sweet spice/bitter finish. Light, crisp body, dry and astringent on the palate, there’s spice (and sweet yeast) for days, that and a subtle bitterness are the legacy on the tongue. Excellent - wish I had more, very easy to drink several. Rciesla (3880), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 15, 2009 Bottle. Pours an orange body with a thin off white head, that dissipates to nothing quickly. Spicy cinnamon notes, spicy with hints of ginger and a light pumpkin tone. Light ginger bite, with some allspice notes. I like it even though it finishes a bit like anise, and thin. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 1, 2008 341 ml bottle - pours a gorgeous mahogany copper with a slightly fizzy that vanishes rather quickly. Aroma very nice - the ginger comes through, and the cinnamon as well. Very pumpkin-y, but unique too. Flavour quite sweet, cinnamon upfront then blending with the other spices. Nice and full in the mouth. Maybe a bit too sweet. Beautiful beer for autumn. matt7215 (1000), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 8, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours dark orange with a rapidily dissipating off-white head. Lots of carbonation bubbles. Aroma is of pumpkin, spice, whipped topping, and malt. Smells like a sweet piece of pumpkin pie, but not much else. Taste starts of with a big amount of pumpkin and spice. As far as pumpkin in beer goes, this one has it down pretty damn well. Has a very muted, bready malt backbone. Mouthfeel is very carbonated, but creamy. Lingering taste of spice and breadiness. A one-note beer, but it is damn tasty. martin21 (155), Quebec city, Quebec, Canada

Sweet fruits and spices (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and a bit of clove). Gets wattery by the end of the bottle. JulienHuxley (236), Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada

Nutmeg and clove dominate the aroma with a bit of brown sugar. Taste is more of the same spices and it is here you get the pumpkin vegetable taste. It has a smooth palate with very little carbonation and medium body.
