marcbé (81), Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada Sep 2, 2007 Dark orange color, almost no foam. Smell of cinnamon, bubble gum, nutmeg and coke. Very spicy taste with a shy malt in the end. Not bad.
tomthompson89 (1245), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 26, 2008 bought at the lcbo, wish they had of brought in more. kinda a ruby pour, with good foam. nose is Pumpkin pie, nutmeg, ginger. flavor is similar and well done so balanced and drinkable. probably favorite beer i ave had by them. martin21 (156), Quebec city, Quebec, Canada Dec 26, 2008 Gout de fruits sucrer, et d epices (cannelle, gingembre, msucade, un peu de clou de girofle). Par contre les saveurs ne s etirent pas jusqu a la fin de la bouteille, ca commence a gouter l eau.
Sweet fruits and spices (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and a bit of clove). Gets wattery by the end of the bottle. garthicus (627), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 30, 2008 Bottle thanks to Gregclow. Pours Orange brown with tiny head and no visible carbonation. Aroma: Pumpkin, cinnamon, all spice, candy. Nice aroma. Some nutmeg too. Flavour: Initial citron but then a definite and pleasant pumpkin spice flavour with a dry and lingering nutmeg finish. Very enjoyable. Thanks Greg. elihapa (464), Hawaii, USA Nov 28, 2008 Bottle, from Rahman. Pours ruby-brown with a white head that dissipates to mere lacing within the minute. Aroma of canned pumpkin and spice, cumin, and caramel malt. Flavor is a light and crisp blend of soft pumpkin, soil and malt. Reminds me of an Alt with pumpkin flavor, with a spiced, sweet finish. Overall, not a special variation on a fall pumpkin beer, but as is usual for St. Ambroise, Citrouille is a decently-crafted offering nonetheless. PaulHegedus (188), Brampton, Ontario, Canada Oct 11, 2008 Bottle. The Great Pumpkin Ale. Very clever title. Pours a transparent orange with a large, dying head and small carbonation. The aroma is more inviting and dominant than the flavour: it’s a bit like eggnog, spiced cookies or cake and pumpkin; there is heavy nutmeg and clove, molasses, cinnamon and of course pumpkin, very heaviliy spiced. In the flavour I pick up more of the pumpkin and spices first, caramel, clove, cinnamon. Mouthfeel is quite watery.
