I don’t really like pumpkins, so i figured I would not be a huge fan of pumpkin beer, I had southern tier pumpking a couple days ago and it wasn’t bad, i’m sure for someone who likes pumpkins it’s probably f’n amazing, this beer I would say isn’t as good as that, but I am enjoying it more because the pumpkin flavour isn’t so in your face.
Pours an amber colour with a head which dissolves to pretty much nothing. The aroma is big and spicey, pumpkin pie, the pumpkin takes a back seat to the smells of cinnamon, and licorice, I swear to god I smells something else though, like coca cola or something, but it’s good. The flavour is good, pumpkin pie, cinnamon, but ends on a strange coca cola note, strange, but it works. The weight is a little light, compared to southern tiers version, which is one thing that I preferred by them, a little higher of an abv might have help kicked this up a notch, but i still really enjoyed this brew.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 15, 2009 Bottle. Pours an orange body with a thin off white head, that dissipates to nothing quickly. Spicy cinnamon notes, spicy with hints of ginger and a light pumpkin tone. Light ginger bite, with some allspice notes. I like it even though it finishes a bit like anise, and thin. jcwattsrugger (5573), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 26, 2009 Beautiful looking beer , coppery bright brown with a half inch pillowy cap. Cinnamon, clove and other spices come shining through. I most defiantly smell the pumpkin pie but no real raw pumpkin presence. Mmmmmm……cream cheese icing. Malty tasting with lots of spice the clove comes through stronger then cinnamon. There are hints of bitter in the finish. My wife claims to taste ginger snap and now that’s all I taste. This is by far the best pumpkin beer I’ve ever had. nuplastikk (1222), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 24, 2009 12oz bottle. Fitered amber-brown color, respectable creamy head. The pumpkin pie spice aroma is a little subdued, but still discernable. Medium bodied and malty, with some crisp astringent hop and spice notes upfront before fading into sweet maltiness. A touch too grassy and soapy in the bitterness, doesnt quite match or compement the pumpkin pie spiciness in my opinion. OK, tame pumpkin beer. TheBeerOrg (1586), Kentucky, USA

Notes of cinnamon, pumpkin, brown sugar, cloves, doughy pale malt. Medium to full bodied with lively carbonation. BeerBunker (616), Burbank, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 8, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours dark orange with a rapidily dissipating off-white head. Lots of carbonation bubbles. Aroma is of pumpkin, spice, whipped topping, and malt. Smells like a sweet piece of pumpkin pie, but not much else. Taste starts of with a big amount of pumpkin and spice. As far as pumpkin in beer goes, this one has it down pretty damn well. Has a very muted, bready malt backbone. Mouthfeel is very carbonated, but creamy. Lingering taste of spice and breadiness. A one-note beer, but it is damn tasty. DrHomolka (731), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 8, 2009 11.5oz bottle pours clear filtered copper with a small white head with poor retention. Aroma is like every other pumpkin beer known to man. Okay slightly better maybe but not really. Flavor is cinnamon and mild maltiness though the spice level is quite low. Super clean. This is very drinkable. Not super good in the pumpkin department or the uniqueness. No more pumpkin beers please unless you’re going to offer something different.
