house beer of Tap and Mallet. It is hoppy, with a creamy mouthfeel and lacey. The bitterness is distinctly British.Carbonation OK, but neutral on aroma. Decent bitterness I could have again and will.

A light golden ale with a thin white head. A lightly floral hops aroma, fragrant. In mouth, a light watery bitter with light floral hops, very fresh. Served on cask. Flour City brewfest, August 15 2008.

Sampled at the Flour City Brewers’ Fest 2008. McBane’s Best Bitter is a cloudy straw colored beer with no visible carbonation and a white film for a head. The aroma is earthy, fruity and grassy-- all hops (Goldings, I think). It is light bodied and very smooth. The flavor is all hops. It’s lightly bitter and fresh tasting. There really isn’t any aftertaste. Pretty nice!

Draft at Rohrbach’s. Amber looking beer with and avg. head. Both aroma and flavor of hops and sweet malt. I was pleasantly surprised that there was no bitter ending. Smoother than I expected.

Draft at Tap and Mallet in Rochester. Poured yellow with a thin white head. Malty aroma with notes of floral hops and a very light sweetness. Medium body. Flavor is cool malt with notes of caramel and floral hops accompanied by a light sweetness. Very nice.
